Night of the Museum

Cottonwood is excited to again hold an event that celebrates multiple domains of learning.  All students and families are encouraged to create a display to enter in the museum. Please mount your project on a tri-fold display board. PTSA has a limited number of display boards available in the library while supplies last.  Students may choose from three entry categories: 

Natural Science

Historical or Cultural

The Arts

Examples:

  • Science Experiment

  • Animal Report

  • Geography or Geology Report

  • Models

  • Outer Space

Examples:

  • Biography

  • Events or Era Reports

  • Timelines

  • Culture Report

  • Family History

  • Family Culture

Examples:

  • Drawings

  • Paintings

  • Poetry or Narratives

  • Sculpture

  • Photography

  • Collage

Please mount your project on a trifold display board.

Most media are welcome, however, we are not able to support video or audio displays. If you have a more complicated display (experiment, etc) please plan on attending the set up time. Students with involved displays are encouraged to remain by their projects to answer questions

Students will turn in their projects in the days leading up to the event to their teacher. Volunteers will be setting up for us on June 4th. 

Timeline for Projects

  • NOW Begin brainstorming and working on your project!

  • Turn in Week: Tuesday June 2nd through Thursday June 4th

    • Turn in your project to your teacher

  • Thursday June 4th 2pm-3pm Museum Set Up

  • Thursday June 4th 5pm to 6:30pm NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM
