AVID's Mission:

AVID's mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society.

Who is an AVID student?

AVID is for everyone.  Students learn about organization, study skills, communication, and self-advocacy. AVID Elementary students take structured notes and answer and ask high-level questions that go beyond routine answers. 

What is WICOR?

WICOR is an acronym for Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading and provides a learning model that educators can use to guide students in comprehending concepts and articulating ideas at increasingly complex levels.
